Anna Veith, meglio conosciuta come Fenninger, finisce in anticipo la stagione di Coppa del Mondo 2016/2017: l'austriaca ha fatto sapere tramite i social networks che a seguito di accertamenti si dovrà sottoporre ad un intervento chirurgico al tendine rotuleo che le da problemi da molto tempo.

La Veith a seguito di un brutto infortunio patito la scorsa stagione quest'anno aveva faticato molto non riuscendo quasi mai a finire nelle posizioni di testa. Ora il nuovo stop per poi riprendere al meglio nella stagione olimpica.

Hey there, no good news today. Talked to the doctors, had another MRI and the result is - I have to undergo surgery. This time on my left knee, where I have been fighting against patellar tendon problems for years now. Not being able to ski without pain anymore. So season is over for me. This surgery is the only chance to continue living my dream. To ski the way I want to do it, competing and being part of the olympics again. And that is what I absolutely want... Die Ärzte haben mir empfohlen, die Saison zu beenden und mich nochmal operieren zu lassen.Dieses Mal am linken Knie, da wo ich schon seit vielen Jahren gegen meine Patellarsehnen-Probleme kämpfe und mich die Schmerzen immer wieder limitiert haben. Ich möchte wieder so Schifahren können wie ich mir es vorstelle und zwar ohne diese massiven Knieschmerzen.
